Healthy beef burgers

Serves 4

HEALTHY BEEF BURGERS

Perfect as a healthy dinner option! 

Ingredients

500g 5% lean beef mince

1 onion

1 medium egg

500g potatoes, chopped and mashed

60g guacamole

4x Warburton Thin Bagels

100g asparagus

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius. Chop onion finely. In a bowl, mix together the onion, mince and egg. 
  2. Grease baking tray. Make 4 equally sized burgers from the mixture. Make sure to flatten them so that they cook quicker. 
  3. Peel and thinly slice potatoes and boil for 10 minutes until soft. 
  4. When soft, mash the potatoes thoroughly until smooth. Add salt, pepper and a wad of butter to taste. 
  5. Boil asparagus for 5-8 minutes until soft.
  6. Toast bagel and when ready place burger on one side and top with guacamole. 
  7. Serve and enjoy!
